    RadioLab Symmetry

    24:12

This is an edited version of NPR's RadioLab: Desperately Seeking Symmetry. The original is over an hour long and I don't have that much time to share the entire recording with my class. So, I've cut it down to a little over 24 minutes. I've added images to go along with the story. If this edited version interests you I strongly recommend listening to the entire show which can be found at

Hope you enjoy this as much as I have.

    Thanks.

This hour of Radiolab, Jad and Robert set out in search of order and balance in the world around us, and ask how symmetry shapes our very existence -- from the origins of the universe, to what we see when we look in the mirror.

Along the way, we look for love in ancient Greece, head to modern-day Princeton to peer inside our brains, and turn up an unlikely headline from the Oval Office circa 1979.

Cataclysmic destruction. Surprising survival. Radiolab turns its gaze to the topic of endings, both blazingly fast and agonizingly slow, in its live show Apocalyptical. With their signature blend of storytelling, science, and music, hosts Jad Abumrad and Robert Krulwich romp through hundreds of millions of years of history to arrive at the end, again and again. Radiolabs Moments

    4:17

I wanted this to be noticed by as many people as possible, simply for the fact that it is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen.

If you aren't familiar with Radiolab, head over to radiolab.org and start catching up on their podcasts. Absolutely some of the greatest radio I've ever heard.

I know what you're thinking... Um, what's a radio program doing putting out a video? Yeah, good question. You'd understand if you listen to the show. It's a special treat for podcast subscribers. There's another video on their page, called Words which is pretty great too. Mayhap I'll upload that one too, if I become so bold.

Enjoy Your Moments. All of them.

Willingly infected with a stomach worm -RADIOLAB

    13:46

I caught this radio program late at night and thought it was too awesome not to share with YouTube.

If you have allergies, Crohn's disease, or any immune system disease then this should be particularly interesting. Jasper sorted himself out like a champ.

If you are the owner of this audio and wish to have the appropriate credits splashed up somewhere let me know and I'll happily oblige. Or alternatively, if do not want to have it re-produced here then I'll take it down. I did catch it on Australia's public 'Radio National' however ..I didn't have to pay for that. Plus, come on, It's the 21st century. This is how we share things nowadays. It's a great story :)

Update 18/12/2013: The audio is from a wonderful public radio show called Radiolab. Check them out at
